A native of the area, Rocky Miller is the son of Dale and Janice Miller of Lake Ozark. He is the great-grandson of Elmer Slone, a former Miller County Presiding Judge, and Hoyle Atteberry, a former School of the Osage board member, and one of the first shopkeepers on the 'Strip' in Lake Ozark. He and his wife, Della have four children and one grandchild. The couple reside on the family farm near Tuscumbia.

Professionally, Mr. Miller owns Miller Companies, an engineering and environmental services firm which has been in business at the same Osage Beach location for the past 42 years. He has served as a board member of School of the Osage for 12 years, four of which he served as president of the board. He is also a past director of the Missouri School Board Association, and was one of the authors of the Missouri Public Education Vision Report. The report serves as a roadmap for the future of public education in Missouri. Mr. Miller is also active in his church as an elder and board member, and is also a member of the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, and Daybreak Rotary.

Mr. Miller has gained extensive legislative contact as a Director of the Missouri School Board Association and two decades of advocating for the area with the DNR. For twenty years, Mr. Miller has helped shape education and environmental policy and law for the State of Missouri.

"With my background in civil and environmental engineering, transportation projects, property issues, and education, I feel that I can advocate for District 124 like no other candidate," said Miller. "As a small business owner, I have felt the pain caused by the reckless statements and regulations that put undue burdens on business owners in the area."
